5 great guest beds

If you don't have a separate guest room at home, then providing beds for your guests could be a real challenge. Here are our ideas which may come in handy in such a situation:
  • Trundle beds: That kind of bed provides additional sleeping space to the bedroom without the need of adding any other furniture. You may always store trundle beds under the main one, so it is ready for use anytime you have guests at home. These beds are available in different sizes, most of which are standard
  • Daybeds or futons: A daybed or a futon could serve as a sofa during the days, and as a bed during the nights. In order to provide a full-size bed, you need to pull the seating cushion forward. That move will pull back the cushion, which is behind it into a flat position. We think that this option is really great, because of its double functionality. In addition, daybeds and futons may be placed not only in bedroom but in any other part of the house, such as your study or living room. Why not the kitchen? It might sound like a strange idea but you should not underestimate it! Always keep that room tidy and well disinfected and don’t forget about oven cleaning as well;
  • Sleeper sofas: These sofas are usually available in queen and full sizes. They come in a variety of colours and fabrics. The sleeper sofa is a kind of hidden bed, which makes its use very convenient. Simply remove the seat cushions, after that pull the bed out from the frame. Sleeper sofas are extremely suitable for family rooms or living rooms;
  • Inflatable beds: When you have to accommodate unexpected guests, air mattresses could be quite useful. Most of them have an electric pump which serves for inflating the bed. Those beds are great for tenants as well. They won’t harden end of rental cleaning at all;
  • Murphy beds: Just like the pullout-style bed, that type of bed has its own pros and cons. It is built into a wall and could be easily pulled down when it is necessary. This is definitely an advantage because you don't need any extra space in the living room or any other room, actually. Keep in mind that your wall must be thick enough or at least you should have some closet space, so you will be able to 'store' the closed bed there.
